The Adam A500 is an American six-seat civil utility aircraft that was produced by Adam Aircraft Industries. The aircraft is of pod-and-boom, push-pull configuration with its two Continental TSIO-550-E piston engines mounted to provide centerline thrust.

2006年3月1日 · The Adam A500 is the first new cabin-class twin to be certified in years. The pressurized all-composite airframe can seat as many as six. The first customer delivery occurred in November 2005, and Adam intends to deliver as many as six aircraft per month.

The A500 was developed in the early 2000 from a technology demonstrator designed by Burt Rutan. Its push-pull configuration is intended to reduce the impact on the aircraft’s flight characteristics from the failure of an engine. The prototype first flew in July 2002 and was certified by the FAA in 2005.
