The Nurse Delegation Program (NDP) was created to ensure that community providers receive the training and support necessary to meet any standards set by the ADMH Divisional Offices of Certification that relate to nurse delegation.

Alabama Department of Mental Health is the state agency responsible for serving Alabama citizens with mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, and substance use disorders. The department was formally established by ACT 881 in 1965.

Annually, ADMH serves Alabamians through a broad network of state mental illness facilities and community-based services. Community-based services include those provided by mental health centers, 310 boards, group homes and substance abuse providers.
