Adolf Hermann Ott (* 29. Dezember 1904 in Waidhaus; † 10. Oktober 1973 in Inzell [1]) war SS-Obersturmbannführer (seit 30. Januar 1941); vom 15. Februar 1942 bis Januar 1943 als Anführer des Sonderkommandos 7b (Einsatzgruppe B) für zahlreiche Massenmordaktionen in Russland und Weißrussland verantwortlich.

Adolf Ott was sentenced to death in 1948 and pardoned to life imprisonment in 1951. He was released from the Landsberg War Crimes Prison on 9 May 1958 back into German society where he lived out the remainder of his life in relative peace and security.

In February 1942, Ott took over the command of Sonderkommando 7b in Einsatzgruppe B at Bryansk, on the Desna River, some 220 miles from Moscow, and remained in that area, upholding the integrity of the Fuehrer-Order, until January 1943, during which period he conducted from eighty to one hundred executions.

SS-Lieutenant Adolf Ott began his career in an administrative office of the German Workers Front in Lindau. He joined the NSDAP in 1922 and became a member of the SS in 1931. In 1935 he entered the Security Service.
