This project will create a new 4.5-mile segment of SR 30 between 97th Avenue and Loop 202. In addition to constructing SR 30, the project includes improvements to Loop 202 to accommodate the new system interchange with SR 30.

The SR 30 study will include the completion of a draft environmental assessment and design concept report, including an evaluation of the recommended roadway alignment as well as a “no build” alternative. The study documents, as well as a list of locations where they can be reviewed in person, are available at azdot.gov/SR30.

In 2013, ADOT and the Federal Highway Administration reinitiated the study of Loop 303 south of Van Buren Street to SR 30. Construction of Loop 303 south of Interstate 10 to Van Buren Street was completed in October 2017.
