The internal software workings of the ABY (AAN and ADU) ECU are somewhat advanced in comparison to the 3B as they provide much more diagnostic info on the engine's operation. The 3B ECU only provides visibility of basic settings via the OBD port, but the ABY has much more intelligence to assist diagnostics.

The only connection (so to speak) is the ECU controls boost (and vacuum) depending on the throtttle position and the crankcase ventilation system function changes with boost/vacuum it sees.

2011年8月18日 · The ADU water pump is 034121004B and has 26 teeth. The 3B (and KV, NM and 7A) water pump is 034121004X. Obviously normal 3Bs tension their cam belts by rotating the water pump, as shown below. With AAN or ABY water pump and AAN/ABY/ADU belt tensioner (if it works), then you would go with the 119H 151 tooth belt.

If you have a 3B/7A motor you will be converting from a steel v-belt alternator pulley to a 6PK pulley. If you have a ADU/ABY motor you will be converting from a steel 4PK alternator pulley to a 6PK pulley.
