I've heard people talking about it being nerfed, so is the timer shorter than 6 hours now between spawns? I've spent at least 3-5 days playtime camping for Aeonaxx, and of course the usual campers and myself all keep in touch if either Blood Seeker or Aeonaxx himself shows up, with no luck in a couple of weeks. Apr 11, 2011 · The reins drops from the NPC Aeonaxx. You have a 100% dropchance on the drake, so if you kill Aeonaxx you will get it. The NPC itself is a level 85 elite rare dragon, his size is rather big, he has ~770.000 hitpoints and will occasional spawn adds while engaged. He is located in the new cataclysm zone Deepholm.

Feb 21, 2011 · Really, it's either time-consuming or you just get lucky. Personally, I'm in the latter category. I have 2 Aeonaxx mounts, and could have had 3 if I knew what he was day 1 of Cata (second one on the server to get into Deepholm, I just assumed he was a quest mob since I didn't notice he was a vehicle. Would barely use him anyway since yeah, druid).

Nov 5, 2012 · Personally, farming for skyshards drove me mad. But while camping Aeonaxx I was free to play other games on my secondary computer, watch TV shows, read comics, or do whatever I wanted. Alani was just mindlessly AoEing mobs to death but it required constant attention. Aeonaxx might have taken me a long, long time but said time didn't feel like work.

After a friend was very successful using Chrome-time + war mode I invested the like 5 hours to level an alt to 30 (flying unlocked iirc) and got both timelost and Aeonaxx within a day (worth to mention that while timelost was easy with leveling gear, I had to bring a guild mate for Aeonaxx).
