
Persistent Threat Detection System (74K Aerostat)
2020年9月29日 · Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) is a large helium-filled lighter than air system designed by Lockheed Martin to provide soldiers with long-range intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and communication assistance. Also referred to as 74K Aerostat System, the PTDS is deployed by the US Army in Afghanistan and Iraq.
With more than 1 million combat mission flight hours, the robust design of the 74K aerostat system supports the automated interoperability between tactical/theater surveillance assets and the dissemination of threat data to operational forces to aid interdiction of hostile fires and unconventional threats.
