Realistically, the reason it's so good is because it takes extremely well-worn and generic tropes but plays them in a creative (and generally more realistic) way. Ajin focused more on realistic human reactions to the situation, and worked out how that would play out.

2019年8月28日 · Yes, the anime differs slightly from the manga starting at the end of season 1 and then season 2 is totally divergent with only a little inspo from the manga. That being said, for various reasons, I actually prefer the anime. Unpopular opinion, I know. The manga is great too dont get me wrong, but the anime just lines up more with my tastes.
