Home to the world’s largest year-round ice environment, the Aurora Ice Museum! It was created from over 1,000 tons of ice and snow, all harvested at the resort. The museum was completed in January 2005 and stays a cool 25° Fahrenheit (-7° Celsius) inside.

Devoted to all things ice, this museum will put you in a winter mood no matter what the summer temperatures are like. You'll see several large ice displays, a freezer you can go in to feel like it's 20 degrees below zero, a huge-screen slide show with the annual World Ice Art championships, and freezers with huge ice tableaux.

2013年3月15日 · Fun place to visit in downtown Fairbanks. Located in an historic theater building that is undergoing restoration. We had a great time with n the slide, visiting the ice “bar” and the various interactive sculptures. The highlight is actually watching a new creation by one of the amazing ice artists.

This ice museum is one of a few local attractions that were close by. Located in an old theater, one can purchase a ticket for the museum and if timed right, it can coincide with a movie on the aurora borealis, which costs extra.
