This total body albumin deficit must be considered when determining the amount of albumin necessary to reverse the hypoalbuminemia.

Adjust dose and rate of infusion based on the patient's clinical status. Infants and young children: 12 to 20 mL per kg body weight. Older children and adults: initial dose 250 to 500 mL. Repeat after 15 to 30 minutes if the response is not adequate. Calculate the body Albusol compartment to be 80 to 100 mL per kg body weight.

The drug ALBUSOL contains one active pharmaceutical ingredient (API): Human normal immunoglobulin contains mainly immunoglobulin G (IgG) with a broad spectrum of antibodies against infectious agents.
