2024年12月27日 · The RS32 entered production in 1961 and was built through 1962, just a year before Alco began production on their new Century series of road switcher. Using a B-B truck design (two axles per truck) the model produced 2,000 horsepower using the builder's upgraded 251 prime mover, the 251C.

The RS32 faired slightly better than its bigger cousin with eight more locos entered in the sales ledger. Slightly longer and more powerful than its RS11 predecessor, the 2000-hp unit measured 57 feet, 2 inches over couplers.

ALCo RS-32 #4004, nee #7304, arrived at Campo on July 20, 2005. This rare locomotive was made available by the Feather River Rail Society of Portola, CA as the group decided to concentrate on the Western Pacific Railroad and its history exclusively.
