Alice Faye (born Alice Jeanne Leppert; May 5, 1915 – May 9, 1998) was an American actress and singer. A musical star of 20th Century-Fox in the 1930s and 1940s, Faye starred in such films as On the Avenue (1937) and Alexander's Ragtime Band (1938).

Alice Faye was born Alice Jeanne Leppert in NYC on May 5, 1915. She was to become one of Hollywood's biggest stars of the late 1930s and early 1940s. She started her career as a singer, but later gravitated to film roles.

Starred with husband Phil Harris in highly-rated comedy shows with music: "Fitch Bandwagon" (1946-1948) and "The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show" (1948-1954). Returned to 20th Century-Fox for role in third version of "State Fair."
