The NSG23 Assault Rifle first appeared in the video game Aliens: Colonial Marines. The NSG23 is unlocked at Marine Level 3, making it one of the earliest weapons unlocked in the game with the exception of Legendary Weapons or DLC unlocks.

Most weapons have an alternate firing mode, such as the Pulse Rifle’s grenade launcher.
