2020年7月24日 · For the 1953 model year, Allard introduced the body variant Safari in the summer of 1952, a two-door station wagon in shooting brake style with five seats. Like the sedan, it was powered by the 3.6-liter V8 engine from the Ford Pilot with around 85 hp. A 5.4-liter V8 engine from Cadillac was available as an alternative on special request.

Intended to carve out a niche in the North American imported saloon market, the P2 Monte Carlo saloon and sister Safari estate were big, luxurious and - in 5.4 litre Cadillac V8 form - impressive performers.

The P2 Safari was built on the Allard P platform, and was offered in a three door, wood-panelled station wagon body style. These cars were powered by a 3.6L V8 engine, which sent 85hp to the rear wheels via a 3 speed manual transmission.

The Allard P was a series of cars introduced in 1949. Allard designated their fixed-roof model with the letter 'P.' Variants included the P1, which was the main 'P' offering, and the much rarer P2 Monte Carlo and P2 Safari. These cars were built in very limited numbers, with a total of 155 P1, 11 P2 Monte Carlo, and 10 P2 Safari produced.
