Ciel has been given far more advantages in life than Alois, which has made him come across as more civil and tolerable. I’d like to point out that Alois released the captive boys in the Trancy manor. It was an act of kindness and mercy on his part. My long spiel boils down to this: I happen to think Alois Trancy is an interesting character.

2023年2月9日 · I’ve watched Black Butler when I was 12/13 yo and I’m rewatching the second season as a 20 yo and I have a completely different opinion on Alois Trancy. First I’d like to say that he’s batshit crazy and I don’t like how he treats Hannah.

Alois Trancy: my first impression was "oh lord, this child is a monster", albeit an oddly entertaining one. After learning his backstory though, I softened to him much more, even though I wouldn't say it excuses his behaviour entirely.

Alois didn’t come from privilege the way Ciel did. As horrible as what happened to Ciels parents he had grown up inherently privileged. His childhood before his parents death he was well off and happy. Whereas Alois grew up in poverty probably knowing struggle his whole life. It also implies that Alois lost his parents a lot sooner then Ciel.

He could have been so great if he was in the manga) but the scenario of s2 really don't do him justice poor boy was mostly here crying or be an annoying brat for finally have the most ridiculous and pathetic ending.
