Is there an advantage (like preventing leading) to using the pan lube method with a good lube as opposed to just tumbling them in Lee Liquid Alox. Beeswax is a carrier to allow the ALOX to be applied, beeswax stiffens the ALOX to where is can be easily and reliably applied in a lubrisizer. The Javelina Schuetzen lube is 75% beeswax with 25% ALOX to have a softer lube for this specialty application.

2012年7月19日 · They only need to look wet evenly. I tumble them slowly for 1 minute. You should see vapor coming off them if the bullets and lube were warm enough----this is a good thing to see. They shouldn't be darker, just wet. The warmth of the bullets and the lube helps it distribute the lube much more evenly on the bullets when you tumble them.

2009年1月31日 · As mentioned most anything can be used to make bullet lube. BUT not all bullet lubes will give you the best accuracy at the velocities you want to use. A while back I did a test with both Emmerts lube and SPG. Both of these are well known and considered good. Here are a coupla pictures of the results I came up with in my .32 Miller Short. PETE

2010年9月11日 · The original Alox product was 2138F while the present Alox product being used for bullet lube is Alox 350 (2138F is no longer produced after ownership of Alox changed). Apparently, the "new" Alox is just as efficient a bullet lubricant as the "old".

2016年12月7日 · What I was wondering if the lube on the rifle bullet when seated would be good or bad. If neck tension doesn't mater all that much, lube between the bullet and the neck should work OK. After I lube and size I have been running the bullets through the die a second time to remove as much lube from the part of the bullet that's inside the neck.

2016年3月15日 · Another issue is the lube grooves lube tend to help seal the bore between bullet and bore surfaces. GAssing blowing by the bullet can cause leading. I have not tried the lee tumble lube alox with true black powder. Some things to keep in mind with bullet lubes and black powder lubes in general.
