2019年9月24日 · From July 1968 until the bombing halt began, their F-4Ds carried only one standard-configured AN/ALQ-71 or AN/ALQ-87 pod. In addition to F-105D/Fs, AN/ALQ-87 pods were used on F-4C/D/Es, F-111As (both in 1968 and 1972) and AC-130As. The antenna options seem to have been more limited with these pods and the instructions cover them all.

2020年3月28日 · The AN/ALQ-87 is an electronic countermeasure pod (originally the QRC-160-8) was first used in 1967. Carried by a variety of military aircraft during the Vietnam, it was commonly seen on the F-100, F-101, F-105, F-111, F-4 and the AC-130.

AN/ALQ-87 ECM pods were used by F-111As based in Thailand during both the Combat Lancer and Constant Guard V deployments during the Vietnam War. Two were mounted on the forward (weapons bay) and aft fuselage stations.

2022年6月28日 · Jump ahead in time 5 years, at Udorn RTAFB flew the ALQ-87 and the ALQ-101. Most of the time they were mounted on the forward aero-27 rack cavities. Other times on the inboard pylons for mig cap. If there was a short tailed version I didn't see one in the photos. Myself would modify the kit pod or try and find the Eduard Brassin ones. 2024年1月26日 · Does anyone have a good photo or drawing of exactly where on the F-111A the alq-87 was mounted? I'm building the 1/48 Hobby Boss F-111A and I can't seem to find anything concrete to show where i should drill holes for the two pods.
