Ultra rare Altec Lansing Model 101 large bookshelf speakers in excellent condition - 1980's

2023年8月30日 · The earliest type of 602 (developed in 1952)Altec 602A Duplex. You are looking at a very rare "ALTEC 614" Speaker Cabinet Single. This product was manufactured by ALTEC in the 1940s for very first prototype.

2017年1月7日 · I have 3 of these wonderful Altec 602A speakers. Each one has the matching crossover and they all sound great. Notice the coaxial, cellular-horn tweeter for a clear, powerful sound.

2025年1月7日 · The altec 602 is basically a model 803 or 416 woofer with a concentrically mounted model 3000 horn tweeter. the paper cone is not punctured at the mounting holes so it was never mounted. this put the defective 602s', with burnt out tweeters up for grabs for the factory workers to grab.

I inherited Dad's 602a speakers with cabinets built to the 602a spec. IIRC, the 602a is rated at 96dB at 1 Watt input (maybe 1kHz?) measured 1 meter away. Dad'd had them reconed 40-odd years ago. They are the main left/right speakers on an Onkyo TX-NR709.

In excellent structural and cosmetic condition. Cone material firm and undamaged. Outside edge remains soft and flexible. Tested with a modest Sony reciever. Sounds great, with strong base and full range of response. No pops or rattles heard. However, Seller is not an audiophile and no guarantee of sound quality is offered or implied .

ALTEC 602-A 15" Duplex Loudspeaker! Beautiful condition, in one cabinet all its life, this one is from later 50s, I think (my 59 HIF buyers guide lists a 602-B so I assume this is earlier). Both woofer & horn tweeter work great. fine example! Note to overseas buyers: Dollar is weaker than ever (Euro buys $1.48) so take advantage!
