2012年10月14日 · The Altec 618C cabinet was a different beast entirely from the WE spec cab...as Mukai-san reported, and it's much more of a boom box. The sides and back are very thin 3/8" plywood and make a lot of noise when you drum on them.

2017年10月27日 · I'm building these cabs for a 8" driver. I have a pair that I want to try. I also think these might be nice for the BetsyK. They are 2cuft resonant cabs. I'll try the BestyK's as soon as I get some. 🙂 This configuration should be very SET low watt/ volume friendly. The standard Betsy sounds good in the “reso” style resonant cabs.

2024年10月8日 · For sale are a pair of cabinets built to the specifications of the Altec 618. These were made by a gentleman in Texas who sells his cloned Altec cabinets on eBay, and they are nice quality. I bought these to use with my Altec 755a drivers, which have now both sold.
