We address the application of modern control techniques such as LQG/LTR, H/spl infin/, and QFT to AMB systems. We also introduce a novel method called adaptive forced balancing (AFB) which solves the problem of synchronous vibration caused by mass unbalance.

The developed method separates AMB, CTZ, MP and PP in presence of twelve known impurities/degradation products and one unknown degradation product within 3.5 min. Stability indicating capability was established by forced degradation experiments and seperation of known and unknown degradation products.

In this article, a model-free AMB PID tuning method is proposed to solve this problem for the first time, which imitates an experienced AMB engineer and utilizes physical information from runtime data.
