AMEP is a free English language tuition program administered by the Department of Home Affairs. AMEP is available to eligible migrants from the humanitarian, family and skilled visa streams. AMEP participants have access to English classes for 5 years or more from their visa commencement date or arrival in Australia.

Pathways to Work is an opportunity for AMEP clients to gain work skills and valuable local work experience in Australia. The program is also known as Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training or SLPET.
