2012年11月15日 · It worked like magic for the seven days in a month I was allowed to use it, and then, of course, the bleeding came back until I had surgery to fix the cause. I see that a lot of people seem to have trouble getting Amicar when they need it. There's a thread about that now. Lysteda seems to be commonly stocked at pharmacies. Could it be used instead?

The specific statement that's relevant for Mason's dental is, "Aminocaproic acid (AA - Amicar®) is a commercially available inhibitor of fibrinolysis (procoagulant) commonly used in humans with postoperative bleeding that can be administered IV or by mouth."

2016年2月29日 · Amicar dosing is generally 500-650 mg, 3 times a day for 5 days. And yes, starting the day before the procedure. If compounded to a liquid it's only good for a week. The price of Amicar shot up when a different manufacturer bought the company. Unless your vet has it in stock at the old price expect to pay $500-$650 for the 5 day course.
