AMIV – Academic Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Association at ETH Zurich

The QEC is a student association at ETH Zürich and part of the AMIV. It supports all students who are interested in the field of Quantum Engineering. We are a diverse group of quantum engineers, physicists, electrical engineers, and computer scientists – from bachelor to PhD students!

AMIV represents students pursuing the following degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Micro and Nanosystems, Biomedicine, Nuclear Engineering, Robotics, System and Controls. AMIV is the biggest and most active student association at ETH and offers a large palette of services for its members at the D-ITET and D-MAVT ...

With more than 4000 members, AMIV is the largest and most active student society at the ETH. AMIV has the VSETH (Association of Students at the ETH) as its umbrella organisation.

2025年3月13日 · Der Akademische Maschinen- und Elektro-Ingenieur Verein (AMIV) an der ETH wurde im Jahre 1893 gegründet. Er vertritt als Fachverein die Studierenden der Departemente "Informationstechnologie und Elektrotechnik" (D-ITET) sowie "Maschinenbau und Verfahrenstechnik" (D-MAVT).

The Biomedical Engineering student association at ETH Zürich (BEEZ) is the AMIV commission gathering all students of the MSc in Biomedical Engineering at ETH. Our goal is to promote networking among members and with faculty/industry by organizing social events, talks and meetings throughout the year.
