Sheriff Buck Leatherleaf is a minor recurring character in Amphibia. He works as Wartwood's local sheriff and the head officer of the Wartwood Swamp Police Department (WSPD). Sheriff Buck Leatherleaf dresses fairly western-styled, with a dark-grey jacket over an orange shirt and a brown western style hat.

Anne is adopted by the Plantar family, consisting of the adventurous Sprig, feisty Polly, and the wise Hop Pop, as they go on adventures and face numerous dangers. Much of the show revolves around Anne interacting with the residents of Wartwood, who are initially hostile towards her, but over time welcome her as one of them.
