2010年7月14日 · The company’s proposed AN-112-KC tanker, based on an airframe from Ukrainian state-owned aerospace giant Antonov, is specifically designed to meet KC-X requirements, Charles Arnold, senior advisor to US Aerospace’s board of directors, told the Daily Report in an interview Tuesday.

The Antonov An-70 (Ukrainian: Антонов Ан -70) is a four-engine medium-range transport aircraft, and the first aircraft to take flight powered only by propfan engines. It was developed in the late 1980s by the Antonov Design Bureau to replace the obsolete An-12 military transport aircraft.

2010年7月12日 · US Aerospace is offering the An-112KC tanker, a new version of Antonov’s An-70 airlifter, according to press reports. Neither of the other two contractors has discussed specific prices. EADS is offering its KC-45 tanker, based on the Airbus A330 commercial airliner.

KC-X was the United States Air Force (USAF) program to procure its next-generation aerial refueling tanker aircraft to replace some of their older Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers. The contest was for a production contract for 179 new tankers with estimated value of US$35 billion.
