Student winners are in ninth through twelfth grades who earned the right to compete at the Regeneron ISEF 2022 by winning a top prize at a local, regional, state or national science fair.

Ottawa, May 13, 2022 – Ten young scientists selected by Youth Science Canada represented the country from May 7 to 13, at the 2022 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair – the most prestigious youth STEM project competition in the world. The Team Canada-ISEF students brought home seven grand awards and two special awards.

We found that the increase of DHE fluorescence resulting from exposure to paraquat was rescued by co-treatment with lupeol in both wild-type and isp-1 (qm150) animals, an effect also obtained when co-treating animals with the antioxidant NAC (Figure 1C-D).

Anna Monica Voia, étudiante québécoise en deuxième année au Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, a été sélectionnée pour représenter le Canada lors de l’Expo-sciences et de l’ingénierie Regeneron (ISEF). 2022年6月1日 · Using reporter assays for oxidative stress, we find that treatment of animals with lupeol rescues some of the effects resulting from treatment with the prooxidant paraquat. Our results demonstrate that lupeol displays antioxidant properties in vivo in C. elegans . Plants of the Mimosa genus are studied and used for their bioactive properties.
