She also helped police investigating cases involving women and received a number of commendations in recognition of her work, including the King’s Police Medal.

2020年9月21日 · At 9.00am on the 1st December 1915 history was created when Miss Fanny Kate Boadicea Cocks (Kate Cocks) was appointed as Principal, Women Police Branch, and Miss Annie Ross as her assistant. They were the first women police officers in the British Empire with the same powers and privileges as male officers.

2015年12月1日 · SAPOL appointed its first female officers Miss Kate Cocks and Miss Annie Ross as equals, with equal pay, to their male counterparts on December 1, 1915. They were the first women police officers commissioned in the then British Empire and among the first in the world.
