The first taxi stands, however, did not appear until 1636. During the 1800s, Joseph Hansom created a smaller, lighter carriage in England that only required one horse to pull it.

2011年12月5日 · There was a cab manufacturer started by Mr. Hertz, of the car rental fame. It was called Yellow Cab cars and trucks. They had some models with headlights mounted on the cowl. Larger International Harvester trucks of the 1920's had cowl mounted headlights. -M
