2023年8月30日 · My Xfinity account says my service is eligible for 100Mbps upload speed. I am having my own Arris SurfBoard S33 cable modem, which is also listed as a compatible device on Xfinity page. But I am only getting 20Mbps upload speed. Rebooting the modem didn't help, either. How can I enable the faster upload speed with my own compatible S33 modem?

2024年10月4日 · Purchased the Xfinity approved Arris S33 modem. Was able to get 2.5Gbps down, but upload was stuck at 40Mbps up. After spending time with his internal documentation, Tech found out that S33 doesn't support 300 upload >>yet<<. There were a few more Arris modems on list (suspecting all the approved ones).

2024年2月19日 · The S33 is approved for Gigabit, but not for the new higher upload speeds. Realize that although Comcast calls some devices "Approved" and some "Recommended", for all but a few devices those designations only mean "approved/recommended for use with their Internet service", and not necessarily "approved for the new higher upload speeds".

2024年10月13日 · Modem is an Arris S33 that is certified for Xfinity and supports up to 2.33 Gbps - it provides 32x SCQAM/2x OFDM for downstream channels; 8x SCQAM/2x OFDMA upstream channels. My modem's configuration is showing full utilization of the downstream channels, however the upstream is being limited to only 4x SCQAM bonded channels.

2022年8月30日 · TLDR: Need router to go with Arris S33, I need decent wireless connectivity, but nothing insane. Budget is under $150 I'll be moving soon and I've secured the Xfinity Gigabit plan for when I move in. I avoided getting the gateway as I am ok with buying a modem and router.

2023年2月18日 · Wow. I am exactly in the same situation. Same modem. Google Wifi Mesh. We are in a 3 storied Townhouse (Basement, Main Floor and Top Floor). Arris S33 with ethernet hooked up to 2.5Gbps Port. Google Mesh - 1 Nest Wifi Router, 3 Nest Wifi Points, 1 Google Wifi Point. I have the Xfinity 1200 Mbps Plan too. Google Home App shows 800-900 Mbps Download.

Actually got in a Betabound test pre-launch I could directly compare the Netgear vs the Arris. Both stable but the S33 is half the size so I’m going to be able to strap it in structured wiring panel easier
