I've got a gallon of beaver and a gallon of bobcat, that I am going to add a pint of BTO, 8 ounces of red fox urine, a couple ounces of ambrette spiked muskrat glands and and I was thinking of a tablespoon of asafoetida tincture to each gallon of meat.(3 ounces of powdered gum to 5 ounces of 100 proof vodka)

2007年6月2日 · Offshore asked...is the asafoetida mixed with wheat flower worth using? does it need to be the pure form. Generally the powder coming from India has been cut with rice but is milder than gum but still an effective lure ingredient for home brewed lures.

Re: Asafoetida - 02/07/20 09:18 PM A strong tincture liquid will give you better distribution potential into a bait or lure formula. The powder form is not quite as strong and will take much more to achieve the same representation.

The tincture on the left is done with DEP and the one on the right is done with 100 proof vodka. The one with vodka is fresh, and that's why it's cloudy.
