ATLAS ITk pixel detector overview - ScienceDirect
2025年1月1日 · This contribution presents the status of the ITk-pixel project focusing on the lessons learned and the biggest challenges towards production, from mechanics structures to sensors, and it will summarise the latest results on closest-to-real demonstrators built using module, electric and cooling services prototypes.
The ATLAS ITk detector system for the Phase-II LHC upgrade
2023年1月1日 · The ATLAS experiment is planning a complete replacement of its inner detector with a new all-silicon inner tracker for the high luminosity phase of the LHC. The new detector is designed to cope with the increased pile-up, data rates and radiation levels of the HL-LHC, while maintaining or improving the current ATLAS tracking performance.
ITk (Inner Tracker) is a full upgrade of the ATLAS Inner Detector as part of the Phase-II upgrade includes new pixel and strip detectors, “all-silicon” detector Designed to operate successfully under HL-LHC operating conditions corresponding to: Leveled peak luminosities up to 7.5 · 1034 cm-2 s-1 25 ns bunch spacing
Technical Design Report for the ATLAS Inner Tracker Pixel Detector
The new Inner Tracker (ITk) will be operational for more than ten years, during which time ATLAS aims to accumulate a total data set of 4000 fb^ {-1}. Many of the features of the tracker have already been presented in the first Technical Design Report that detailed the construction of the ITk Strip Tracker.
The ATLAS ITk Strip detector system for the Phase-II LHC upgrade
2024年5月1日 · The new Inner Tracker (ITk) system, anticipated to be installed by 2028, will be a new all-silicon based tracker including Strip and Pixel detector technologies.
X-Team - Inner Tracker (ITk) - IHEP
The new Inner Tracker (ITk) will be operational for more than ten years, during which ATLAS aims to accumulate a total data set of 3,000 f b−1 f b − 1. Meeting these requirements presents a unique challenge for the design of an all-silicon tracking system that consists of a pixel detector at small radius close to the beam line and a large ...
The ATLAS ITk Strip Detector System for the Phase-II LHC Upgrade
ATLAS-ITK Strip Collaboration (the speaker to be selected by the ITk Speakers Committee after the contribution acceptance) ATLAS is currently preparing for the
new ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITk) to face the extreme environment of HL-LHC A pixel detector surrounded by a strip detector. Strip: 4 layers (barrel) and 12 disks (endcaps) (see the talk of Andrea Garcia Alonso) Pixel: 5 Layers (barrel) and many disks (endcaps) With a coverage up to |η| = 4, ITk will provide at least 9 hits per tracks
[2503.19461] Irradiation Study Using QA Test Pieces of ATLAS18 ITk ...
5 天之前 · The ATLAS experiment is planning a complete replacement of its inner detector(ID) with a new all-silicon inner tracker (ITk) for the ATLAS Inner Tracker Phase-2 upgrade. The ATLAS18 silicon strip sensors are designed to operate up to the integrated luminosity of 4000 fb$^{-1}$, which corresponds to the maximum fluence of $1.6 \\times 10^{15} \\, \\text n_{\\text{eq}} / \\text{cm}^2$ (including ...
To cope with the resulting increase in occupancy, bandwidth, and radiation damage, the current ATLAS Inner Detector will be replaced by an all-silicon Inner Tracker (ITk), composed by a strip and a pixel system.
