2017年9月6日 · The code used to re-appear within a day or two when it was cleared prior to the install. So moral of the story is that if your compressor is showing signs of aging (louder, slow level changes, etc) and you have the intermittent G291, change the compressor first and it might fix the glitch! 2010年10月12日 · I then realized that there were cases where the compressor caused the intermediate G291 issue, so it was my first choice. I went in via VAGCOM today to clear the G291 code since it was in there Friday when I scanned and see guess what, it was gone.

2017年9月6日 · Thank you for this information! It was a great help in figuring out that my valve block (code G291) needs to be replaced. I would like to add the following info to this thread. In my 2004 allroad I found that the #1 pin in the 10 pin under car connector lead to the #10 pin in the 18 pin harness in the sidewall of the trunk.

2013年5月7日 · Typically Audi, you have to put the huge trim piece to the side to get to it instead of just opening another door. To get to this point, I had to remove the rear left passenger seatback retaining lug, the front and rear screws for the cargo cover retainer cups and use a trim removal tool to release the assembly from its spring clips.

2009年6月2日 · Vag-com faults found 01397 Venting solenoid for level control, 31-00 open to short to ground. Just replaced compressor and valve module G291,fault still the same, when i clear the fault the compressor runs for a couple of seconds and then stops with the same fault. Any ideas on what to try next, thanks.
