2024年9月2日 · Thx. I like using the lightest/smallest gear possible. Modern drags and rod technology allow for some big catches on smaller gear. For reference, the hardcore jigging guys are landing cows on setups weighing 1/2 of the normal west coast rail rods. I use my JX raptor with a RGP80 terminator or RGP76 Predator, both are capable 60lb rods.

2015年7月1日 · The Avet is a top of the line reel. The fathom is mid range. If you want to compare them apples to apples, compare the torque 2 speeds to the Avet 2 speeds. Then it is a fair comparison. The torque will definitely take the cake over an Avet, but for me, the Avet's are a lot nicer than the fathoms (and there is a big price difference too).
