Feb 4, 2021 · I am seriously considering getting a CNC router and I’m pretty set on an Avid Pro 4x4. After finding out about the Teknic ClearPath servos and their accuracy and repeatability, I think I would like to go with those instead of buying one of Avid’s NEMA stepper motor packages and then upgrading.

Nov 23, 2022 · I am using Clearpath servos on a custom machine that takes some design cues from the Avid CNC, and uses a few components from Avid. My gantry has a lot more material, though - probably about 400lbs total, including a 2.2kw ATC spindle.

Oct 6, 2021 · 400w servos should be plenty. I have a Delta BE 750W servo as a small lathe spindle motor. The Delta is excellent, documentation is good and in English, and tuning software is available, easy enough to use and works fine on Win10.

Oct 31, 2024 · I have the new EX controller and servos and can say without a doubt there is a difference. The servos are much smoother and they are spot on (within .005) for me. I do a lot of inlays and need the repeatability for sure. I am still learning CNC and there are a few more steps to get a job going but I think its a game changer.

Sep 28, 2020 · I'm using a CPM-SDSK-2321S-RLN servo on all the axes of my Benchtop PRO 24x24. Works great for X and Y, but I'm having intermittent issues with my Z axis currently.

Sep 2, 2010 · Your kit includes four servo motors that are specifically tuned for each axis and are labeled accordingly. Ensure the motors are installed on the proper axis for proper performance of your CNC machine. Use the larger motors labeled X-axis and Y-axis in this section.
