As well as the permanent Soverign Bases, British Troops have stoped off in Cyprus before heading home after their tours in Afganistan. Troops from other countries take R&R in Cyprus too. The British bases are located on the Eastern Side of the island but I have seen German Troops in Paphos a couple of years ago.
