2008年11月15日 · Too many factors to consider. In the B&W 600 line, the bigger the number, the smaller the speaker. The 686 might be nice for a bedroom or as rear speakers, but I think most who are looking for a serious front or music speaker, would only consider the 685.

2009年2月25日 · Hi all, I have a pair of B&W 685s paired with an Arcam FMJ A18. In the Arcam manual it suggests connecting to the LF connections, however the B&W manual recommends the HF connections. I haven't had a chance to compare, but I was wondering what others thoughts on this were and whether it would affect the sound at all? Thanks in advance - Boffinboy

2005年11月7日 · I currently own a B&W 683-685-HTM62 (all S2) and SVS SB1000 (sub) setup. I would like to add Dolby Atmos to it, however, since B&W does not have Atmos speakers, which should I buy? Since it is in my living room, I prefer the upfiring versions to be place on the front speakers. I have e.g. found Dali Alteco C1 and the more expensive PSB Imagine XA.

2014年8月22日 · Certainly the B&W ASW (from the CM range) and DB1 (800 series) are quite highly regarded. Have to say more for music than movies. At DB1 prices, one is better off looking at the Paradigms. But I digress. Looking at the B&W 610 and Kef Q400, they could have come from the same contract manufacturer. So close is their design and specs.

Always had them on a book shelf but moving to a bigger room now and trying to find speaker stands to fit. Never owned speaker stands ....so here goes newbie question...I can get myself a pair of B&W STAV24 S2 stands.

2024年12月12日 · I have found 685 s2 about 1 hour drive from my town and Concept 20 (with stands) in my town, both in good condition about the same (good) price. I can't A/B test so having to make a decision based on specifications and reviews. Specifications-wise, 685 s2 is bigger and have larger driver, so should have more bass.

2008年12月22日 · To deviate from B&W would mean the tonal quality would be 'out of whack' across the front sound stage. While i firmly believe the HTM61 is the better choice (as it is a true three way speaker unlike the HTM62) i admit it is probably not the 685s natural partner.
