What's your favorite carbine? The burst brings it down since it has the lower carbine damage model, but the M16A4 on assault class is legit. I got used to the lower muzzle velocity and damage. It’s worth it on some maps to have the target detector even if you play hardcore. It still talks to you if you listen.

From memory, here are my thoughts. The M4 has a shorter range in terms of damage falloff distance but marginally better hip fire accuracy. It's the gun you use for other classes that can't use the M16. The M16 is objectively better, because the difference in hip fire isn't as impactful as the damage falloff range.
