These things are legit, not just a strat bobbin single coil in the body of a humbucker like most of their ilk (I've had several that claimed to be P90's and took them apart to find a strat bobbin).

Brand new BG Pure 90 hand wound boutique 2 pickup set. These are made as P90s but sized for a Humbucker mount. Bought these for a project but sold the guitar so these need to go to a new home.

The neck pickup is warm, but very articulate, the bridge pickup can cut and squawk with the best of 'em, and the two together are just pure, sparkly magic. I was impressed by how quiet these were, but the neck pickup is also reverse-wound, so the middle position is completely noise-free.

2019年8月18日 · Fralin has some choices. I have the Dimarzio Bluesbucker, which looks like a PAF and sounds like a PAF/P-90 mix. It is a stacked humbucker on one side and the other coil is just a dud for cosmetics. Sounds really good in the neck of my PRS with 5-way switch and BG Bucker dark in the bridge. The middle position is excellent.

2010年7月14日 · I have no doubt that BG's Pure 90's are going to be closer to a true P-90, but I have no direct experience with this model from Bryan. I have a couple sets of his Lizard humbuckers and a T-90 which are all awesome pickups.

2020年4月15日 · Every 10-14 days or so when this subject comes up, I always recommend BG Pups Pure 90. It's an actual P90 in a humbucker size. It's the exact same pickup he sells as his vintage 90 aside from the cover. And yeah they sound awesome. Humbucker P90s can be really good, easy to start with, so start there.
