The approach of the Abhiyaan is contemporary to engage youth and comprehensive to converge the activities done by all the stakeholders for a common goal of making India free of substance abuse.

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (Govt. of India) formulated to reduce the demand for drugs of abuse in the country. It was initially launched in 272 vulnerable Districts across 32 State/Union Territories, and now covers 372 Districts nationwide.
