2021年1月29日 · Is the BK18 actually a trailing point? I was under the impression that the tip was no higher than the spine, but I don't have one to look at. Sure the 'poon is, but I'd argue that doesn't count. It does have a lot of the edge sweep of a trailing point, however, as it appears to lack a truly straight section. re: ancient mariners

2021年12月27日 · I know this is an old post, but an idea popper in my head when looking for a BK15 & BK18 comparison and finding this thread. If you have a 15, could you lengthen the handle with custom scales to include the forefinger choil? This would give you a longer grip length while maintaining most of the other characteristics of the knife.

To the Chinese company's credit they did not use the KA-BAR logo or Becker branding. But we all know what this is, or isn't I should say. 2018年8月29日 · So if you didn't snap the handle, the knife just flopped around uncomfortably. Plus, it took a great deal of effort (too much, in my opinion) to sheath and unsheath the knife. But they've fixed this with the BK18. I am wondering how well the tip will hold up to battoning, or if broken tips will be a common issue with the BK18.

2015年10月22日 · Damm! The BK18 changed the screws to black oxide SS took some of the oxide off with a wire wheel. Darkened the logo with a sharpie . Took the strap off. The knife with the strap on or off will still work in pocket for outdoor outings .Better fit without though with strap off knife has a bit of a rattle.
