The BMW R 11 was the first touring motorcycle in the 750cc class manufactured by the German Motorcycle with a pressed-steel frame in duplex form, in the vein of the Neander motorcycle of Ernst Neumann-Neander. [1] 7,500 R 11 motorcycles were produced between 1930 and 1934.

BMW's relatively vibration-free engine was already a byword for smoothness and refinement, and this, coupled to a three-speed shaft-drive transmission, made the R11 sidevalve one of the finest touring motorcycles of its day. Progressively improved, the R11 was built in five series up to 1934.

The sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series consists of the BMW G11 (short-wheelbase version) and BMW G12 (long-wheelbase version) luxury saloons. The G11/G12 generation was produced by BMW from 2015 to 2022, and is often collectively referred to as the G11.

The iX1 was released on 11 November 2022 as the xDrive30. It features a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, and dual motors placed at each axle for an all-wheel drive layout. Its power and torque output is rated at 309 hp (230 kW; 313 PS) and 494 N⋅m (50.4 kg⋅m; 364 lb⋅ft) respectively.
