So fo BMW gassers that require LL-01, my choice would be: 1. Castrol 0W40 2. Mobil1 0W40 Both oils you can find in Wal Mart for around $26 for 5qt. For BMW diesel engines that require LL-04 I would go with: 1.

2010年9月1日 · Mobil 1 0w-40 and 15w-50 are A3 rated and the Ow-40 is BMW LL-01 approved. For 99% of climates and users 0w-40 or 5w-40 is the appropriate grade. There are some 0w-30 and 5w-30 oils (like the BMW 5w-30) that are forumlated on the heavier end of the 30 weight scale and are accordingly rated A3. These oils will work well also.

2017年12月29日 · It does not make sense BMW sells non LL-01 oil, while certifies other oils to beat its own BMW-logo oil. In fact, nowadays BMW is very slow to grant certification to any aftermarket oil, esp. the LL-01FE and LL-14FE specs, so it looks like BMW is gearing up to corner(and quality control) the market for itself.
