Customer: Have a P0012 code and 2A83 Camshaft Mechanic's Assistant: I understand that you have a P0012 code and a 2A83 Camshaft issue, our BMW Mechanic will be able to assist you with this. Has your BMW been experiencing any issues such as rough idle, loss of power, or unusual engine noise?

This is a BMW(###) ###-#### All 4 solenoids are ok. Activated by 12v and sound good. All 4 solenoids giving these codes. If I disconnect all 4 solenoids it the change codes due to activation. Yesterday I check voltage at the connector and saw only about 10.5v with engine running. I belive is to low but I will double check this afternoon.

2020年7月3日 · The code (using INPA) was a 2A83 on the intake/input side– which I believe is the Vanos inlet code. I then switched around the 2 vanos after cleaning both with nothing more than electrical/MAF cleaner. Upon replacing both and starting the car the code changed to: 2A83 – CDKENWS – CAMSHAFT CONTROL – INPUT.
