Nov 11, 2020 · This is extremely concerning though because I already had the entire headlight assembly replaced due to this issue a year ago. The good thing is that this was replaced at a BMW Dealership under warranty and is covered for 2 years for all work done. So likely they would address the issue on the left side.

Dec 1, 2021 · The BMW inline 6 is one of the best engines on the market. With that said it still requires expensive preventative maintenance just to last. Otherwise you are looking at an engine rebuild in the low 100k miles. The 528 and 530 are the unreliable and underpowered 4 cylinder. They are for people who just want the name recognition without the price.

Recently brought my 2013 bmw 528i (100k miles) into a local shop in Orange County, Southern California due to some mechanical issues. When the mechanic finished the initial inspection, there seems to be additional issues, most notably the engine timing chain. Apparently the timing chain is stretched and the guides are broken.

Jan 16, 2023 · This may involve inspecting your thermostat, water pump, and or air pockets in your coolant system. I believe bmw always recommend vacuum filling coolant to prevent air in the system. If it’s electrical then you would have to trace the wires from your sensor and may find a broken/ corroded wire.

The N55 is known to be more reliable than the previous N54, but it’s also no the MOST reliable BMW engine either. With the 528i you get less horsepower but more reliability and a newer engine. Of course consider as well that that depends a LOT on how each car was treated by the previous owners.
