2015年2月26日 · The majority of non-M E9x can with non-AGM batteries from the factory. All E9x M models have AGMs from the factory. OEM non-AGM batteries are white. OEM AGM are black. If you change the battery type (non-AGM versus AGM), the car MUST be programmed, THEN registered. AGM batteries require different charging algorithms than non-AGMs require.

The IBS is going to have to cut off auto start/stop a lot sooner if you put a 50Ah battery in instead of a 105Ah battery. The DME uses different charge profiles and target voltages for AGM vs flooded. This should always be set correctly.

2020年2月17日 · The AGM battery definitely says BMW, but I can't find any obvious date code on it. By the label, it's a BMW AGM 92 Amp-Hour battery with part number 61212353812. I just got off the phone with nearest BMW dealer, and they apparently can't confirm the battery age without the previous owner's contact info, which we can't find at the moment.
