The only problem is that the previous owner made the backlight colour a much darker orange to fit an E24/E30. Nothing else was changed. I own a W124 and the car's lighting matches the factory backlighting of the radio much more.

This is not my first old BMW rodeo, but it is my first 6-cylinder BMW. I’ve had a pair of 2002s, a very early E30 318i (before they figured out the pop-out rear window mechanism), and an early Z3 1.9 that I raced (ex-press-fleet car that was not eligible to be titled for street use).

However, realistically the S54 from the E46 M3 or the N54 from the E92 335i would be nice. Wondering if anyone has any experience engine swapping am E24 or if they know a mechanic worthy of the job.
