2023年9月30日 · BMW Integrated supply module IVM (ISM) - Replacement and Location This module is often associated with transmission problems where the transmission may only go into P N R 3rd and 5th gears. I replaced this IVM module with new one on my BMW e60 and the problem was solved.

2024年11月5日 · Anyone have any experience testing the ISM? I'm trying to diagnose a short circuit fault in the ign/inj system after replacing a coil. Code 152007 - ignition and injectors, supply voltage, ignition: Short circuit to ground. I have 12v at the main cable going in.

2013年2月25日 · Did replacing the ISM solve your issues? The no-start issue is fixed. The sleep-mode issue is not fixed, unfortunately - will have to follow up on that one. As for the catalytic converter and secondary air system, I'll need to keep an eye open as those were sporadic issues. So if within a month nothing re-occurs I'll call them fixed.

2015年5月10日 · After some research I concluded that the culprit was the notorious Integrated Supply Module or IVM. This is a $100 part that is a common problem from the factory. There is a solder point in the manufacturing process that is cold and is susceptible to cracks.

2023年1月11日 · Took the car to BMW and they said all wiring was intact but the Integrated Supply Module was faulty. They ordered one and installed it after turning the car ON it blew it again. So now they will change the O2 sensor and install a new ISM. Hopefully that will solve the issue. Im still scratching my head as to why it got damaged in the first place.

2015年1月16日 · Correction: recall on Integrated Supply Module (part # pkx3ism). In canada anyways... Apparently the old part would allow condensation to form inside the unit triggering all sorts of erroneous electronic error warnings. Recall is not general and only case by case as customers come in with complaints.

2021年12月19日 · Terminal 15N is switched by the ISM/PDM, forward electronics/fuse box, and aft electronics/fuse box. I started at the source (ISM/PDM), and the error has not reoccurred in six months. A similar (although weather-related) problem on X-series BMWs of similar vintage

2022年1月26日 · Discovered the ISM had a blown fuse in it. Ordered Genuine part from BMW replaced it. Vehicle will crank but wont start. Put the old ISM back in with blown fuse and it starts (albeit rough). Checked the wiring diagram, found it belongs to …
