2021年3月1日 · After scoping the signal wire to the IVM from DME, it was appraent that the chatter was caused by an oscillating ground at exactly 100 Hz coming from the DME. Essentially the DME was not providing a good signal to the IVM, and a loud buzz was the result.

2021年3月1日 · Does anyone have experience troublshooting the IVM? Am I correct that pins 5 and 6 should be hot when the ignition is on (or is it only when start button is pushed?). On this module, the fuses are not accessible, I see where someone cut the plastic cap off to replace the fuses, I am tempted to do that to check out the fuses.

2023年9月20日 · I went out today to inspect a few things and I DO realize a clicking coming from the ivm Module when the car is first turned off. sounds as if something is trying to connect but cant. Hopefully this is the issue because i hear this part Fails randomly on these.

2021年3月6日 · With the F10 you need to check then IVM for water ingress/failure first. Located on the right side under the cowl, there are fuses inside but it is a sealed unit. Easy to replace and does not need any coding. Then check the plug connections to the DME on the top of the intake for faulty pin tension and/or water ingress. Mark.

2015年10月3日 · It is primarily a relay box feeding the DME which is not needed for our cars with the mss65 DME. If you had a machine hooked up before which prevented starting, it would have interrupted the starter solenoid power line or the starter main power line. Both of those are under the intake plenum and easy to check with the plenums off.
