2019年5月29日 · I've recently picked up a non-running '02 R1150GS and have been going through the FAQ and all the various other threads here and on other forums as mine is exhibiting the typical failed HES symptoms. Yesterday, I pulled the HES and confirmed that the insulation has cracked, much like many other GS owners have.

2021年5月5日 · I have removed the HES on my R1100RT after a few occasions of the engine just cutting and then starting 10 minutes later. The techno jumped about when this happened and there was no spark which, I am told, is one of the indicators that the HES has failed. This is normally due to the wiring degrading .
