Oil burn won't immediately stop your car and dealers will tend to "its normal" you probably on any make but a blown HP FP will or a bad oil pump on say an e46 m3 and they will definitely scramble to fix it .

Aug 10, 2013 · AFAIK Belteshezzar is right and there's no easy way to plumb a turbo, which is why the DASC is the only "easy button" speed option for the M44. Which, admittedly, saddens me. BMW built their name on the 2002, which did just fine with an I4. Shame the M44 sucks.

Keep in mind the engine needs to be connectable to a rwd transmission that isn’t unobtanium. Bonus points for cool looking. 180hp is the desired minimum threshold without super expensive mods.

This is the same oiling setup that they put in the M235iR N55-powered factory race cars, which are frequently praised for their extreme reliability.

Jul 12, 2001 · Ummm, I4 would be four cylinders in a straight line, V4 would be two sets of cylinders meeting in a "V" configuration. Typically, "I" configurations yield more effiencient use of the engines which in turn produces better torque and horsepower specs.

Of course, BMWs are notoriously underrated for power, so we weren’t surprised to see our engine producing a likely 330-plus horsepower at the crank after measuring.
